The field after day one was spread out with only Harold Kirkpatrick  within four shots of the leader, but after first round leader Jesse Tolan was a no show we then had five players within four shots.  Jesse had a score of 66 to lead the first round.  Harold  distanced himself from the pack on day two with birdies on the 8th and 9th hole to go on and capture the first annual Men’s Club Championship.

Our first ever women’s winner is Jane Barrett, scoring 167.

The results will be posted tomorrow afternoon.

Being part of the afterschool golf club means you get to go on the bus, travel to the course, gets some lessons and play some holes, with peers and teachers. The afterschool academy was instructed by Bob Keene, of The International.

This year the club was made up of over 30 kids aged 10 – 14 years old. The cost of the academy was $90 and included playing tournaments at a few other courses, a main tournament at Twin Springs and a parent teacher tournament to end the year.
